Pastoral at Pardes

Rationale
Pardes House is committed to the well-being of all its pupils. As such, the school has a dedicated Pastoral Lead (Mrs B Davis), who plays a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment. Mrs Davis’s work recognises the profound impact that emotional and social development can have on a pupil’s overall success.

From the very start of the school day, our Pastoral Leader is working with families, to make sure their boys are ready to come in, ready and happy to learn. One of our Pastoral Lead’s key responsibilities involves creating a safe space for pupils to express themselves openly and seek guidance when needed. Mrs Davis actively engages with pupils on a personal level, developing strong relationships built on trust and understanding. Mrs Davis’s approach addresses not only academic challenges but also the emotional and social aspects of each pupil. She is always ready to lend a listening ear and provide the support necessary for pupils to navigate the complexities of school life and growing up.

Qualifications
Mrs Davis has completed a number of training programs to aid her support for our boys, including TQUK Level 2 Core Counselling Skills, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA), Place2Be Mental Health Champions, UK Child Bereavement and Designated Safeguarding Lead training.

Mrs Davis collaborates closely with parents, teachers, senior leaders and other staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to pastoral care. Within her role, Mrs Davis leads and/or has arranged a number of school pastoral interventions…
